At 3:51 of the second period, Steven Agrogiannis extended the Clippers lead to 3-1. However, back to back goals from Bulldogs forward Jacob Bosse tied the game at three. Nanaimo forward Tim Washe scored the final goal of the night before taking a minor penalty for a blow to the head and a 10 minute misconduct with just under four minutes left in the third period. The Clippers took a 1-0 lead on the series with a 6-3 win in game one.

Game two loss on Saturday

Stephen Castagna took a high sticking penalty to set up an opening power play goal for the Clippers from Devon Mussio. Then, back to back goals from Olivier Fizet and Ryan Doolin sent the Bulldogs to the first intermission with a 2-1 lead.

A hooking penalty to Tommy Bannister set up a tying goal from Trevor LeDonne on the power play. Matt Grouchy then scored to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead, but Mussio and Josh Kagan found the back of the net before the second period was out.

In the third period, Kagan and Joshua Bourne put a bow on three unanswered goals for the Clippers to salt it away for Nanaimo.
