West Kelowna Warriors: Graduating players and eligible returnees

The West Kelowna Warriors had a relatively good season, finishing third in the tough Interior Conference. The Warriors went into the playoffs and defeated the Vernon Vipers and Salmon Arm Silverbacks in five games in the first and second rounds, respectively. However, they were eliminated by the Penticton Vees in a four-game sweep in the Interior Conference final.

West-K has 11 players committed to NCAA Division I schools, and two players aging out of junior hockey.

Warriors general manager and head coach Simon Ferguson has six forwards, three defenders, and one goaltender eligible to return in 2022-23 and no 20-year-olds returning next season.

These numbers will likely change as players move to other leagues like the Western Hockey League, US Hockey League, or North American Hockey League. They may drop down to junior B, be sent away in trades, retire, or wind up committing to college before September and don’t return to West Kelowna.

The depth chart is based on the league going with a 24-player roster next season and coaches going with 14 forwards, eight defenders, and two goaltenders
