Vees acquire Wisconsin commit Moravec from Calgary of the AJHL

The Penticton Vees have acquired 2003-born forward Brett Moravec from the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

Moravec, who’s committed to the University of Wisconsin for Sept. 2022, had four goals and 12 points in 15 games with the Canucks in the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

The native of Airdrie, AB notched 13 points in 50 games with the AJHL’s Okotoks Oilers as a 16-year-old in 2019-20.

He was selected by the Lincoln Stars in the 10th round of this year’s US Hockey League Entry Draft. Moravec was also chosen by the Prince Albert Raiders in the 5th round of the 2018 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
