The Prince George Spruce Kings have traded 2001-born goaltender Carter Woodside to the Victoria Grizzlies for future considerations.
Woodside, who’s from Asquith, Saskatchewan, left the Spruce Kings last month and was awaiting a trade. He didn’t play any games with PG during the 2020-21 BCHL training season.
He was 5-11-2 with a 3.08 goals-against-average and a .900 save percentage in 22 games last season after signing with Prince George in late November 2019.
Woodside also played one game as an affiliate player for the Merritt Centennials in 2019-20, making 25 saves in a 5-3 win over Surrey.
He started that season with the Princeton Posse of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, going 3-0 with a 1.33 goals-against-average and a .933 save percentage.
Woodside also made one Western Hockey League appearance as an affiliate with the Regina Pats in 2018-19 and allowed one goal in the third period of a 7-3 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings.
