The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have acquired 2002-born forward Maxwell Dukovac from the Nanaimo Clippers.
Dukovac joining the Bulldogs completes the future considerations from a trade on Nov. 5, 2020 which saw 2001-born defenseman Moe Acee go to Nanaimo.
Dukovac signed a letter of intent with the Clippers in February 2020 for the 2020-21 season. However, he didn’t end up playing with the Clippers or any other team this past season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 19-year-old had 10 goals and 21 points in 14 games with the Chicago Mission U18 team in 2019-20.
Despite being from Aurora, IL, the Clippers noted at the time of his commitment that Dukovac has dual citizenship and won’t count as an import in the BCHL.
For his part, Acee also didn’t play anywhere this past season either. He is set to attend St. Lawrence University for his freshman campaign of NCAA hockey this September.
