The Cranbrook Bucks continued to build out their 2020-21 roster with the addition of American forward Nicholas Niemo. The 19-year-old is from Middlebury, Vermont.
He spent the last four seasons in the Islanders Hockey Club program. This past season in the National Collegiate Development Conference, Niemo had 20 goals and 30 assists in 48 games.
Alto named junior B league commissioner

Former BCHL executive director Trevor Alto is the new commissioner of the Pacific Junior Hockey League, a twelve-team junior B league based in the Lower Mainland of BC.
Alto, who worked in the BCHL office from 2012-19, is also a former player with the Prince George Spruce Kings. He had four goals and four assists in 16 games with PG in 1997-98.

First Star: Vees forward Dakota Conroy had two assists, including setting up the overtime winning goal as Penticton beat Portage 4-3 to claim the 2015 Western Canada Cup.
Second Star: Terriers forward Tanner Jago posted two assists in the loss.
Third Star: Penticton goaltender Hunter Miska stopped 34 shots in the win, including 14 in the third period.
Honourable Mentions: Vees forward Connor Chartier scored the winning goal in overtime. Portage goaltender Justin Laforest turned aside 32 shots. Penticton forward Riley Alfred notched a goal and an assist. Vees forward Patrick Sexton had a pair of assists.
