BCHL Bulletin: Saints sign Hjorth Jensen, Rivermen add Mishin, and more
Roster moves
The Spruce Grove Saints added international experience by signing 2007-born forward Lucas Cilan Hjorth Jensen for the 2026-27 season. The Aalborg, Denmark native represented his home country at the 2026 World Junior Championship. Last season, he produced seven goals, 14 assists, and 21 points in 22 games for Aalborg II.
The Langley Rivermen bolstered their attack by signing 2008-born forward Mikhail Mishin. The Yaroslavl, Russia product brings prior BCHL experience from the Sherwood Park Crusaders. During the 2025-26 season, he recorded two assists in 10 BCHL games with the Cru before tallying seven goals and 30 points in the NA3HL with the New Jersey Jr. Titans. He also played six games with the New Jersey Jr. Titans NAHL team.
Front office news
The Cowichan Capitals announced the departure of business and sales director Melanie Molleken. She vacates her front-office role after having a big impact on day-to-day operations. In a social media post announcing Molleken’s departure, the Caps praised her deep dedication to building strong community relationships, supporting sponsors, and strengthening the franchise both on and off the ice.
Player commitments
2005-born forward Brett Calhoon officially committed to the University of Regina to play USports hockey. The Kamloops, BC native split the 2025-26 BCHL campaign between the Brooks Bandits and Langley Rivermen. He registered three goals, two assists, and five points in 27 total regular-season appearances between the two clubs.
Alumni updates
2005-born forward Jack Pridham captured the Memorial Cup with the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers. Pridham tied for the tournament lead in scoring with five goals and eight points in four games. The Stouffville, Ontario native dominated the 2025-26 OHL season, racking up 46 goals, 44 assists, and 90 points in 65 games. During his 2023-25 BCHL tenure with the West Kelowna Warriors, he got into 66 regular-season games and put up 28 goals, 31 assists, and 59 points.
Thirty-year-old defender Chase Priskie has departed from Sibir Novosibirsk of the KHL. The Pembroke Pines, Florida native produced four goals, 20 assists, and 24 points over 50 games in Russia last season. He previously logged 57 games, six goals, 14 assists, and 20 points for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks during the 2014-15 season.
