Capitals bring in Rampton for 2022-23
2004-born forward Greye Rampton is set to join the Cowichan Valley Capitals for the 2022-23 season.
The native of Chilliwack, BC spent this past season with Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League and finished with 20 goals and 33 points in 35 games.
Spruce Kings recruit Eurig from the GOJHL
The Prince George Spruce Kings have recruited 2003-born forward Luke Eurig for the 2022-23 BC Hockey League season.
Eurig, from Mount Forest, ON, notched 27 goals and 49 points in 47 games with the Elmira Sugar Kings of the junior B Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2021-22.
Torrel inks a deal with Cergy-Pontoise
Forward Gage Torrel (36 goals, 52 assists in 82 games for Langley from 2013-15) has signed with Cergy-Pontoise of Ligue Magnus for next season. Ligue Magnus is the top level of professional hockey in France.
Torrel, 27, registered 10 goals and 22 points for Dogs de Cholet of FFHG, Division 1 during the 2021-22 season, his first in Europe.
Bird joins Liberty University for next season
Goaltender Scott Bird (0-1-1, 4.99 goals-against average, and an .870 save percentage in two games with Alberni Valley in 2019-20) has committed to Liberty University of the American Collegiate Hockey Association for this September.
The 21-year-old from Trenton, MI posted a 12-9-0 record with one shutout, a .922 save percentage, and a 2.36 goals-against average with Walpole of the Eastern Hockey League this past season.
