Vipers add Pakulak for the upcoming season

The Vernon Vipers added another forward for the 2020-21 season with the signing of 2003-born Luke Pakulak from the Delta Hockey Academy.

The Surrey product had three goals and five assists in 26 Canadian Sport School Hockey League games as a 16-year-old in 2019-20.

Sinclair transfers from UAH to Michigan Tech

Goaltender Mark Sinclair (33-12-0 with a 2.59 goals-against-average, a .910 save percentage, and two shutouts in 45 games with Chilliwack in 2016-17) has transferred schools in the NCAA from the University of Alabama-Huntsville to Michigan Tech University.

The 24-year-old’s move to the Huskies adds another chapter to the unique relationship between Chilliwack Chiefs alumni and the state of Michigan.

El-Mir re-ups with Greenville

Forward Karl El-Mir (six goals, five assists in 29 games with Salmon Arm in 2014-15) signed a one-year extension with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits for the 2020-21 season.

El-Mir, a University of Connecticut alumnus from Montreal, had nine goals and 10 assists in 34 ECHL games split between the Swamp Rabbits and the Indy Fuel in 2019-20, his first season of pro hockey.

O’Donnell signs deal in Slovakia for 2020-21

28-year-old forward Brendan O’Donnell (29 goals, 43 assists in 58 games with Penticton in 2010-11) is taking his game from the Czech Republic to Slovakia for the 2020-21 season.

The Winnipeg native has signed with HC Slovan Bratislava for the upcoming season after posting 30 points in 51 games with Rytiri Kladno of the Czech league in 2019-20.
