After a scoreless first period, defenceman Tim Gould opened the scoring for the Bulldogs at 16:06 of the second period. At 4:50 of the third period, a power play goal from forward Mitchell Deelstra put the Bulldogs out to a 2-0 lead. The onslaught continued as the Bulldogs got goals from defenceman Jimmy Rayhill, and forwards Ryan Doolin and Josh Zary en route to a 5-0 shutout of the Victoria Grizzlies on home ice. Matt Grouchy assisted on two of the Bulldogs’ five goals.

Forward Cody Monds opened the scoring for the Grizzlies at 1:27 of the first period only for River Fahey to tie it for the Bulldogs just under five minutes later. After a scoreless second period, a power play goal from forward Alex Dipaolo gave the Grizzlies a 2-1 lead. Victoria got a power play goal from forward Andrew Amousse followed by an even strength goal from forward Henri Schreifels to cement the win. Liam Souliere stood on his head making 42 saves on 43 shots for the Grizzlies.
