Silverbacks send Recine back to the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the CCHL

 

The Salmon Arm Silvers have completed a trade with Ottawa of the Central Canada Hockey League that sees 2002-born forward Julian Recine return to the Jr. Senators.

The Silverbacks acquired the product of Stittsville, ON on loan from Ottawa on Jan. 22. Recine played 17 games with Salmon Arm during the BCHL pod season, finishing with two goals and five points.

As a rookie in 2019-20, he played 60 games split between the Kanata Lasers and Jr. Senators and wound up with 20 goals and 50 points. Recine played at Lake Forest Academy in 2018-19 and posted 65 points in 62 games.

Brian Wiebe

Brian's been involved in the BCHL in a variety of capacities for 17 years. From 2002 to 2012, he served in several roles around the Merritt Centennials organization, including as team president, board member, beat writer, colour commentator, webmaster, media and communications coordinator and marketing assistant. He's been writing about the BCHL since 2008 and served as colour commentator on the TSN 1040 broadcasts in 2012-13. BCHLNetwork is one of Brian's many passion projects that he balances around his full-time job as an instructor in the Radio Arts and Entertainment Program at BCIT in Burnaby.
