Kings bring Lépine back from the Miramichi Timberwolves of the MHL

The Powell River Kings have completed a trade with the Miramichi Timberwolves of the Maritime Hockey League that sees 2001-born defenseman Olivier Lépine return to the BCHL.

The Kings loaned the Montreal product to Miramichi on Feb. 24 and he played 11 games with the Timberwolves, finishing with a pair of assists. Lépine added an assist in nine MHL playoff games.

This is the fourth time in the last 12 months since June that Lépine had his junior A rights moved.

First, Penticton picked up Lépine from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Notre Dame Hounds on June 23. Then that same day, the Vees flipped Lépine and future considerations to Powell River.

Lépine had six goals and 20 points in 44 games as a rookie with the Hounds last season.
