Rivermen acquire forward Juca from Coquitlam

 

The Langley Rivermen have acquired 2002-born forward Daniel Juca from the Coquitlam Express in exchange for future considerations.

Juca had a goal and four points in 19 games with the Express during the 2020-21 pod season. He added three assists in 10 games for Coquitlam in last fall’s exhibition season.

The Burnaby, BC product chipped in 16 goals and 42 points in 34 games with Vancouver Northeast Chiefs U18 AAA during the 2019-20 BC Hockey U18 season. He also played a pair of games with Vernon as an affiliate but didn’t register any points.

He made his BCHL debut in 2018-19 as a 16-year-old affiliate with Chilliwack, playing two games and registering no points. That season with Burnaby Winter Club Prep, Juca notched 30 points in 33 games.

Brian Wiebe

Brian's been involved in the BCHL in a variety of capacities for 17 years. From 2002 to 2012, he served in several roles around the Merritt Centennials organization, including as team president, board member, beat writer, colour commentator, webmaster, media and communications coordinator and marketing assistant. He's been writing about the BCHL since 2008 and served as colour commentator on the TSN 1040 broadcasts in 2012-13. BCHLNetwork is one of Brian's many passion projects that he balances around his full-time job as an instructor in the Radio Arts and Entertainment Program at BCIT in Burnaby.
