Eagles acquire Slipec from Powell River

The Surrey Eagles have acquired 2001-born forward Jacob Slipec from the Powell River Kings for future considerations.

Slipec, who’s from White Rock, BC, had seven goals and 24 points in 45 games with the Kings after being picked up from the Chilliwack Chiefs early in the 2019-20 season.

He started the year with a goal in six games for the Chiefs. Slipec is into his third BC Hockey League season after notching a goal and nine points as a 17-year-old with Chilliwack in 2018-19.

The 19-year-old also has two points in a dozen games of BCHL playoff experience split between the Kings and Chiefs.

Brian's been involved in the BCHL in a variety of capacities for 17 years. From 2002 to 2012, he served in several roles around the Merritt Centennials organization, including as team president, board member, beat writer, colour commentator, webmaster, media and communications coordinator and marketing assistant.
