The Nanaimo Clippers have acquired 2001-born defenseman Klim Georgiev from the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Canada Hockey League for future considerations.
Georgiev, a native of Toronto, played two games for the Lumber Kings during the CCHL’s Developmental Scrimmage Action in 2020-21 but didn’t register any points. Pembroke acquired him from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in a trade this past February.
In 2019-20, he posted seven goals and 24 points in 48 games for the Jr. Canadiens. Georgiev split 2017-19 between the OJHL’s Markham Royals and Newmarket Hurricanes and put up five assists in 60 games.
He was chosen in the 7th round, 133rd overall by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 2017 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.
