Surrey Eagles forward Christian Fitzgerald, who was named most valuable player in the first-ever BCHLNetwork awards, headlines the list of players voted to the 2020-21 BCHLNetwork First All-Star Team.
Flanking Fitzgerald as First Team forwards are Eagles teammate Holden Katzalay and BCHLNetwork rookie of the year winner Ellis Rickwood of the Victoria Grizzlies.
The blueliners are BCHLNetwork top defenseman winner Isack Bandu of the Victoria Grizzlies, along with Surrey Eagles stalwart Brett Bliss. The goalie is BCHLNetwork goaltending award winner Kaeden Lane of the Penticton Vees.
Three of the six places on the Second Team are taken by Port Alberni pod and Coastal Conference rivals, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Victoria Grizzlies.
Bulldogs voted to the Second Team are forwards Stephen Castagna and Brandon Buhr. Joining them is Grizzlies defender Brady MacDonald.
Others named to the Second Team are Salmon Silverbacks forward Simon Tassy and a pair of Prince George Spruce Kings. Mason Waite takes the final spot on the blueline and Aaron Trotter is the Second Team goaltender.
Among those voted to the Third Team is another member of the Victoria Grizzlies blueline as Jake Veilleux gets the nod, joining teammates Bandu and MacDonald in earning post-season honours.
Grizzlies netminder Carter Woodside rounds out the Third Team in goal as the fifth member of Victoria to be named to the BCHLNetwork post-season All-Star teams.
The other four players voted to the Third Team are forward Luc Wilson of the Penticton Vees, forward Noah Serdachny of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Christian Buono of the Prince George Spruce Kings, and West Kelowna Warriors defenseman Tyson Jugnauth.
Voting for the post-season All-Star Teams was conducted by BCHLNetwork writers and staff.
