Chiefs add NCAA defenseman Krys

The Chilliwack Chiefs announced the addition of 2000-born defenseman Luke Krys on Tuesday. Krys is a dual American-Canadian citizen and as such is able to cross the Canada-US border despite its closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Silverbacks, Vipers, Vees, and Warriors to compete in Okanagan Cup

Four of the nine teams in the BCHL’s Interior Conference have arranged for an exhibition tournament called the Okanagan Cup.

Penticton, Salmon Arm, Vernon, and West Kelowna are those which are within the closest proximity to the Okanagan, with the Vees, Vipers, and Warriors situated in the Okanagan Valley itself.

The tournament, which starts September 25, will see each team play one another four times to make up a total of 12 round-robin games.

The furthest travel in the tournament is for games between Penticton and Salmon Arm as it is less than a 2.5-hour drive between the two cities.
