The Langley Rivermen made their second recruitment announcement in as many days on Sunday as 18-year-old Floridian Morgan Winters heads north to continue his hockey career.
Winters, who’s committed to attend the University of New Hampshire in fall 2021, had eight goals and 20 assists in 23 games playing US high school prep hockey with Tabor Academy in Massachusetts.
He also served as an alternate captain for Tabor in what was his third season at the school.

The Chilliwack Chiefs will have another of their affiliate players turn full time for 2020-21 as forward Ty Gagno has committed to the team. The 16-year-old played one game this past season with the Chiefs as an AP.
He posted five goals and 12 assists in 23 games with the Burnaby Winter Club Midget Prep team in 2019-20, including three goals and an assist in two playoff games.
Gagno joins his older brother Brody on the Chiefs. The elder Gagno is entering his third season in Chilliwack

First Star: Surrey forward Brady Shaw posted a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime victory against Alberni Valley.
Second Star: Penticton forward Ryan Gropp notched a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over West Kelowna.
Third Star: Bulldogs forward Evan Tironese scored both goals for Alberni in the loss to the Eagles.
Honourable Mentions: Vees forward Jedd Soleway had a goal and two assists. Alberni Valley goaltender Jay Deo made 36 saves. Eagles forward Demico Hannoun tallied a pair of assists.
