The West Kelowna Warriors announced the recruitment of 2003-born forward Nick Roukounakis for the 2021-22 BC Hockey League season.
The Boston University commit has played with Thayer Academy prep school this season and posted 11 goals and 27 points in 26 games.
He’s also played eight games with the US National U18 Development team and not put up any points. Roukounakis will head to the NCAA in Sept. 2022.

The Merritt Centennials have brought it two members of the Osoyoos Coyotes of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League as affiliate players for this season.
Join the Cents as affiliates are 2001-born forward and Coyotes alternate captain Nathan Hannon along with 2002-born forward Jack Henderson.
Hannon, who’s from Penticton, had three assists in three games with Osoyoos this season. Henderson hails from Quesnel and had a pair of goals in three games with the Yotes.
Silverbacks roster Chan as affiliate player

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have added 2004-born defenseman Ezra Chan as an affiliate for this season.
The native of Salmon Arm had an assist in two games with the KIJHL’s Sicamous Eagles as a rookie this season.
He posted seven assists in 30 games as a 15-year-old with the Thompson Blazers U16 AAA in 2019-20.
Rasmussen assigned to Grand Rapids by Detroit
The Detroit Red Wings on Friday assigned center Michael Rasmussen to the Griffins and reassigned defenseman Gustav Lindstrom to the Griffins from their taxi squad.

Forward Michael Rasmussen (no points in one game with Penticton in 2014-15) was assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League by the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
The 21-year-old has three assists in 10 games with the Red Wings this season. He has also added two goals and six points in seven games with the Griffins.

2000-born defenseman Ryan Miley (one goal, four assists in 43 games with Surrey in 2018-19) has committed to Briercrest College of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference for this September.
Miley, who’s from Brookings, South Dakota, has a goal and an assist in 14 games with the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Hockey League this season.

Forward Odeen Tufto (25 goals, 40 assists in 57 games with Vernon in 2015-16) set a Quinnipiac University Bobcats men’s hockey record for career assists with a helper early in the first period in Friday’s 4-2 win over Colgate.
Tufto, who is the Bobcats captain this season, now has 127 assists during his four-year career at Quinnipiac, two ahead of Reid Cashman.
