Vees name alternate captains for the season

The Penticton Vees announced on Sunday the two players who will serve as alternate captains for the 2020-21 season as 2000-born forwards Tristan Amonte and Liam Malmquist will each have an ‘A’ on their jersey.
Amonte, who’s committed to Boston University, and Malmquist, who’s off to the University of Wisconsin this fall, are both entering their second season with the Vees.
Last September, Penticton announced 2003-born forward Finlay Williams as its captain for 2020-21.

Forward Tristan Mullin (63 goals, 63 assists in 114 games with Powell River from 2015-17) has signed an amateur tryout with the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Mullin, a 24-year-old from Cartwright, Manitoba, had four goals and five points in 11 games with the University of Vermont this season.
He also posted 21 goals and 49 points in 89 NCAA games with Cornell from 2017-20.

Forward Nick Jermain (29 goals, 25 assists in 54 games with Merritt in 2015-16) has signed with the Coventry Blaze of the Elite Ice Hockey League for the EIHL Series.
The 24-year-old from Cos Cob, Connecticut didn’t play anywhere this season, but wrapped up his NCAA career at Quinnipiac in 2019-20 with 12 goals and 21 points in 34 games.

The Penticton Vees announced last week that all 20 of their games against Trail and Cranbrook during the 2020-21 season will be broadcast on EZ Rock 800 in the South Okanagan.
Trevor Miller will serve as the Vees play-by-play voice once again this season, his second with the team.
It’s Miller’s eighth season behind the mic in the BC Hockey League after stints in Trail and West Kelowna after starting as Penticton’s colour commentator in 2013.
