The Powell River Kings announced the commitment of 2003-born goaltender Zakari Brice for the 2021-22 BC Hockey League season on Monday.
Brice, who hails from Fairbanks, AK, played one game with the Aberdeen Wings of the North American Hockey League in 2020-21, making 25 saves in a 5-4 win against the Austin Bruins in February.
He also played two games with the Dubuque Fighting Saints during the US Hockey League’s preseason last fall. Brice is committed to the University of Arizona for September 2022.

2004-born defenseman Lynden Hanvold is the newest member of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks after the announcement of his commitment for 2021-22 on Monday.
The native of Kelowna, BC spent this past season with Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 Prep of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League and posted five assists in eight games.
Hanvold, who was chosen by the Vancouver Giants in the 10th round, 219th overall, in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, notched 12 points in 34 games with OHA Red U18 Prep in 2019-20.

The Nanaimo Clippers announced the commitment of 2002-born forward Jacob Hewitt for the 2021-22 BCHL season on Monday.
The Ashburnham, MA product joined the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks of the NAHL for 2020-21 and posted seven goals and 12 points in 22 games.
Hewitt is set to attend Army (U.S. Military Academy) to play Division I NCAA hockey in September 2022.
Murphy signs a deal with HK Olimpija Ljubljana
Forward Wade Murphy (69 goals, 112 assists in 172 games for Victoria and Penticton from 2010-13) jumps from Norway to Slovenia for the 2021-22 season. He signed with HK Olimpija Ljubljana of the ICE Hockey League.
Murphy, a 27-year-old from Victoria, BC, put up seven goals and 15 points in 24 games with Vålerenga of Norway’s Eliteserien in 2020-21, his second season in Europe. He was a seventh-round NHL draft pick of the Nashville Predators in 2013.
