Bennett commits to McGill University

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Drew Bennett has committed to play U SPORTS hockey this fall at McGill University.
The 2000-born forward from Mount Pearl, NL had seven goals and 14 points in 20 games with the Silverbacks during the 2020-21 pod season.
He posted 10 goals and 28 points in 56 games with Salmon Arm as a rookie in 2019-20.
Masson jumps to France for 2021-22
Forward Zac Masson (33 goals, 60 assists in 173 games with Langley from 2014-17) has signed with Neuilly-sur-Marne of French Ice Hockey Federation Division 1 for the 2021-22 season.
The 24-year-old product of Newmarket, ON was with the University of Alaska-Anchorage in 2020-21 but didn’t get into any games because of COVID-19.
He finishes his NCAA career with two goals and eight points in 82 games at UAA.
Perron-Fontaine transfers to Cergy-Pontoise

Defenseman Alexandre Perron-Fontaine (six goals, 38 assists in 91 games with Chilliwack from 2011-13) has signed with Cergy-Pontoise of Ligue Magnus, which is the top level of pro hockey in France.
Perron-Fontaine, a 28-year-old from St-Mathieu, QC, posted six goals and 31 points in 32 games over the last two seasons with Nantes of FFHG, Division 1.
Murphy moves from Sweden to Germany
Forward Ryan Murphy (11 goals, 17 assists in 83 games with Trail from 2016-18) has signed a contract with ERSC Amberg in Regionalliga for the 2021-22 season. Regionalliga is the fourth division of pro hockey in Germany.
Murphy, a product of Wayzata, MN, finished the 2020-21 season with Sollentuna HC of Sweden’s HockeyEttan, posting seven goals and 12 points in 20 games.
He started the season with six points in three games with Fagersta AIK of HockeyTvåan, which is the fourth level of Swedish hockey.
