Kruss leaves Coquitlam for the NCDC

2001-born goaltender Dylan Kruss won’t be back with the Coquitlam Express in 2021-22.
The Thornhill, ON product has signed with the Jersey Hitmen of the National Collegiate Development Conference for next season.
Kruss was 5-7-2 during the 2020-21 pod season with the Express. He posted a 4.36 goals-against-average and an .882 save percentage in 15 games.
Morley signs with Frisk Asker for 2021-22
Forward David Morley (25 goals, 51 assists in 52 games with Victoria in 2010-11) has signed with Frisk Asker of Norway’s Fjordkraft-ligaen for 2021-22.
The 30-year-old from Richmond Hill, ON put up seven goals and 28 points in 24 games with the Stavanger Oilers during the 2020-21 season, his fifth in the Norwegian league.

The Cardiff Devils of the UK’s Elite Ice Hockey League announced the signing of five players on Saturday, and two of them skated in the BCHL, albeit briefly.
Those signed by the Devils include forwards Trevor Cox (no points in one game with Surrey in 2010-11) and Cole Sanford (no points in eight games with Vernon in 2011-12).
Cox, who’s from Surrey, BC, posted 13 goals and 35 points in 48 games with HC Detva in 2020-21. It was the 25-year-old’s first season playing Europe.
Sanford, 25, notched three goals and nine points in 19 games with the ECHL’s Florida Everblades during the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season. Joining Cardiff for 2021-22 is the Vernon, BC product’s first sojourn to play overseas.

A day after announcing the departure of Mitch Peacock as manager, broadcast and communications, the Winnipeg ICE announced that former Cowichan Valley Capitals broadcaster Brian Munz will step into the role starting with the 2021-22 season.
Munz also takes over as the play-by-play voice of the ICE. He has worked in media in Winnipeg for the last 15 years in a number of roles and most recently was the director of communications for Golf Manitoba.
He was the play-by-play voice of the Captials during the 1994-95 BC Hockey League season.
