Former Vernon and Surrey goaltender Hammond called up by Buffalo

Goaltender Andrew Hammond (46-27-3, 2.74 GAA, .904 SV%, 8 SO in 82 games with West Kelowna, Vernon and Surrey from 2007-09) has been recalled by the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres from the AHL’s Rochester Americans. Hammond is 13-10-2 with a 2.57 goals-against-average and a .904 save percentage in 27 games with Rochester this season.

Former Centennials defenceman Lohan signed by AHL San Diego

Defenceman Kevin Lohan (five goals, 18 assists in 54 games with Merritt in 2012-13) has been signed by the San Diego Gulls of the AHL to a professional try-out contract. Lohan has a goal and five assists in 44 games this season with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.
