Former Vees forward Fogarty called up to NHL

Forward Steven Fogarty (33 goals, 48 assists in 60 games for Penticton in 2011-12) has been called up from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack by the New York Rangers on an emergency basis.

As captain of the Wolf Pack this season, Fogarty has 13 goals and 24 assists in 54 games. He has also gone pointless in seven NHL games with the Rangers.

Former Chiefs defenceman Giuttari signs ATO with Hartford Wolf Pack

Defenceman Zach Giuttari (eight goals, nine assists in 54 games with Chilliwack in 2015-16) inked an amateur tryout with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

He had four goals and 11 assists in 31 games as the captain at Brown University this past season.

Former Clippers forward Hoover inks with Utah of the ECHL

Forward Matt Hoover (38 goals, 43 assists in 57 games with Nanaimo in 2015-16) has signed a standard player contract with the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies.

, who was the captain at Canisius College this past season, had15 goals and 17 assists in 36 games to wrap up his NCAA career.

Former Rivermen Torrel on the move again in the ECHL

Forward Gage Torrel (36 goals, 52 assists in 82 games for Langley from 2013-15) was claimed off waivers in the ECHL on Wednesday. The Norfolk Admirals plunked Torrel off the wire after he was waived by the Florida Everblades.

Torrel had no points in two games with the Everblades since joining them in late February.

Former Silverbacks star Zengerle won’t be back with Fischtown of the DEL

 

Forward Mark Zengerle (64 goals, 149 assists in 114 games with Salmon Arm from 2008-10) won’t be back with the Fischtown Penguins in 2020-21. He had seven goals and 32 assists in 41 games with the Penguins this season, his second in Fischtown.

The Penguins play in the German Elite League, which ended its current season earlier this week due to coronavirus concerns.

Former Vees sniper Milan reassigned to Pensacola in the SPHL

Forward Garrett Milan (67 goals, 87 assists in 114 games with Penticton from 2008-11, one assist in three games as an affiliate player with Coquitlam in 2007-08) is on his way back to the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL after being released by the ECHL’s Rapid City Rush.

Milan had 17 goals and 23 assists in 38 games with the Ice Flyers this season. He added one assist in seven games with Rapid City.
