19-year-old Coquitlam Express forward Danny Pearson is off to Bentley University. Pearson, who had ten goals and 12 assists in 39 games for the Express this season, is the 15th player on Coquitlam’s roster to commit to an NCAA school.

The Vancouver native had an eye popping seven points in the Express’ first round sweep of the Langley Rivermen.

Capitals forward Broadhurst suspended indefinitely

Cowichan Valley Capitals forward Cole Broadhurst has been suspended indefinitely for receiving a match penalty before Friday’s game five victory over Powell River. Broadhurst shot the puck at Kings goaltender Derek Krall during warm-up.

It is the fifth time since the 2017-18 season Broadhurst has been suspended. All told, the 19-year-old has missed 11 games during his BCHL career due to suspensions, including this past season when he sat out three games for getting a gross misconduct.
