19-year-old Coquitlam Express forward Danny Pearson is off to Bentley University. Pearson, who had ten goals and 12 assists in 39 games for the Express this season, is the 15th player on Coquitlam’s roster to commit to an NCAA school.
The Vancouver native had an eye popping seven points in the Express’ first round sweep of the Langley Rivermen.
Capitals forward Broadhurst suspended indefinitely

Cowichan Valley Capitals forward Cole Broadhurst has been suspended indefinitely for receiving a match penalty before Friday’s game five victory over Powell River. Broadhurst shot the puck at Kings goaltender Derek Krall during warm-up.
It is the fifth time since the 2017-18 season Broadhurst has been suspended. All told, the 19-year-old has missed 11 games during his BCHL career due to suspensions, including this past season when he sat out three games for getting a gross misconduct.

Despite not playing pro hockey in almost three years, forward Reid Sturos (25 goals, 32 assists in 56 games with Nanaimo in 2012-13) has signed with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. Sturos has no points in two games with the Wings this season.

Defenceman Zane Schartz (eight goals, 27 assists in 80 games with Surrey, West Kelowna and Trail from 2013-15) has been released by the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. Schartz had one goal and one assist in eight games with the Solar Bears since signing with them a little less than a month ago.
He also had five assists in 21 games with FehΓ©rvΓ‘ri TitΓ‘nok in the Erste Liga this season.
