Merritt Centennials captain Rylan Van Unen has committed to Northern Michigan University for this September. Van Unen, who was previously committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, had 17 goals and 11 assists in 58 games with the Cents this season.
Twin brother Mike, who’s a defenceman, had a goal and seven assists as a freshman on the Wildcats this past season. It was the first time the two brothers had played on separate teams since before the 2014-15 season.

The Coquitlam Express will have someone new handling communications in 2020-21 after the resignation of Jacob Lazare as the team’s Director of Communications. Lazare was in the role for two seasons, from 2018-20.

Second Star: Chilliwack defenceman Danny Genovese had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory against Coquitlam to force a game seven in the first round series.
Third Star: Vees goaltender Corey Milan made 32 saves in the series-clinching win.
Honourable Mentions: Penticton captain Justin Coutu tallied two assists. Trail goaltender Zach Cardella kicked out 33 saves. Chiefs forward Mike DiStefano scored the winning goal. Coquitlam forward Mark Soares posted a goal.
