The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have added 2004-born forward Ethan Bono for the 2020-21 season.
The product of Port McNeil, BC had 33 goals and 26 assists in 36 games with the Pacific Coast Academy Elite 15s of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League in 2019-20. His 59 points was tied for fourth in overall scoring among all CSSHL E15s.
Bono also played four games with the Pacific Coast Academy U18 Prep team as an affiliate and notched an assist.

The Prince George Spruce Kings have traded 2000-born forward Haydn Delorme to the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
Delorme joined the Spruce Kings in a trade from the Coquitlam Express three days before the 2020 BCHL trade deadline. He wound up with six points in 14 games with PG.

University of Alaska-Anchorage scraps men’s hockey

The University of Alaska-Anchorage has shut down its men’s hockey program, starting in the 2021-22 season.
Seven players who were in the BCHL in 2019-20 are committed to attend UAA and play for the Seawolves this season.

The school says it will provide tuition for 2021-22 for scholarship student-athletes directly impacted by the elimination of the men’s hockey program and want to remain at UAA to pursue their degree.

Forward Kylar Hope (44 goals, 63 assists in 165 games with West Kelowna from 2013-16) has signed a standard player contract with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL for the 2020-21 season.
Hope, who’s from Lashburn, Saskatchewan, is coming off a four-year NCAA career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. The 25-year-old was captain of the Nanooks in 2019-20 and put up 61 points in 127 games with UAF over the last four seasons.

Defenseman Daniel Fritz (eight goals, 30 assists in 55 games with Coquitlam in 2014-15) has turned pro with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.
The 25-year-old from Harwood, Maryland played NCAA Div. III hockey for Utica College over the last three seasons and put up 82 points in 84 games.
