Rivermen captain Versluis commits to Marian University

Langley Rivermen forward Tanner Versluis has committed to NCAA Div. III Marian University for this September. As captain for Langley this past season, Versluis had 11 goals and 13 assists.
He finishes his BCHL career with 31 goals and 35 assists in 160 games. Versluis is the ninth member of last season’s Rivermen roster to commit to a post-secondary institution.

The Coquitlam Express added forward Austin Fraser for the 2020-21 season. The 16-year-old from West Vancouver spent 2019-20 with the Vancouver NW Hawks of the BC Major Midget League.
In 40 games, he posted 18 goals and 16 assists along with 52 penalty minutes. Fraser also played eight games with the Express as an affiliate and scored a goal.
Former Spruce Kings and Capitals blueliner Pacheco signs in France
Defenceman Skylar Pacheco (23 goals, 92 assists in 221 games with Prince George and Cowichan Valley) has signed with the Amiens Gothiques of the Ligne Magnus, which is the top men’s league in France.
Pacheco is coming off a five-year career in USports with Brock University where he put up 18 goals and 48 assists in 131 games.

First Star: Wild defenceman Zak Galambos scored twice as Wenatchee beat Prince George 3-0 to win the 2018 Fred Page Cup in five games.
Second Star: Wenatchee forward Jasper Weatherby had two assists in the win.
Third Star: Wild forward AJ Vanderbeck scored Wenatchee’s third goal with 2:15 left in the final period.
Honourable Mentions: Wenatchee goaltender Austin Park stopped eight shots for the shutout. Spruce Kings goalie Evan DeBrouwer made 34 saves in the loss. Wild defenceman Cooper Zech had an assist on Galambos’ insurance marker.
