BCHL Bulletin: Walker signs in Langley, Zol commits to Augustana, and more

Roster moves

The Langley Rivermen announced the signing of 2007-born forward Roghan Walker for the 2026-27 season. The Beaverlodge, Alberta native arrives from the Grande Prairie Storm of the AJHL. In 33 games during the 2025-26 season, the 6’6″ forward recorded 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points. He had 12 points in 34 games with the Storm as a rookie in 2024-25.

The West Kelowna Warriors confirmed that the 2005-born goaltender Angelo Zol has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Augustana University. The Kelowna, BC, native posted a 1.98 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and six shutouts over 34 games with the Warriors in 2025-26. Zol was previously committed to play U Sports hockey at the University of Toronto.

Alumni updates

24-year-old Richmond, BC native Ben Wozney has left Nantes in France after one season with the club. The defender spent the 2025-26 season in the French second tier and finished with four goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 30 games. He added six assists in five games during the FFHG, Division 1 relegation round. During his BCHL career with the Prince George Spruce Kings, Powell River Kings, and Penticton Vees (2017-21), Wozney totalled eight goals and 38 assists for 46 points in 106 games.

Brian Wiebe

Brian's been involved in the BCHL in a variety of capacities for 17 years. From 2002 to 2012, he served in several roles around the Merritt Centennials organization, including as team president, board member, beat writer, colour commentator, webmaster, media and communications coordinator and marketing assistant. He's been writing about the BCHL since 2008 and served as colour commentator on the TSN 1040 broadcasts in 2012-13. BCHLNetwork is one of Brian's many passion projects that he balances around his full-time job as an instructor in the Radio Arts and Entertainment Program at BCIT in Burnaby.
