Welcome to the 2020-21 BCHL-WHL tracker, the list of players from Western Hockey League teams who have joined BC Hockey League teams since June 1, 2020.
The BCHL has a rule where its teams are only allowed to bring in two 20-year-old players who played Major Junior hockey the previous season.
The Western Hockey League allowed its players to join teams in junior A, junior B, and U18 until the season starts on January 8. In response, the BCHL voted to allow its teams to add two more U20 Major Junior players.
Any WHL players who were signed as a regular roster player by a BCHL team in the Hockey Canada Registry in the past won’t count towards the limit either.
The list below only includes players who finished the 2019-20 season in the WHL. It does not include players who played in the WHL prior to this past season and have now joined a BCHL team. It also doesn’t include players who started the 2019-20 season in the WHL and finished it with a BCHL team.
This list is updated as WHL players are announced as joining BCHL teams.
