The Cranbrook Bucks added 2000-born defenseman Carson Kurylo to their roster for the 2020-21 season. The Calgarian is a veteran of 137 career Alberta Junior Hockey League games where he had 17 goals and 38 assists between the Camrose Kodiaks and Drumheller Dragons.
The Bucks news release didn’t say how they acquired Kurylo’s rights so it’s unknown if he has signed in Cranbrook as a free agent or was picked up in a trade. If it is a trade, it would be the first deal for the Bucks in franchise history.

The Wenatchee Wild was the subject of the BCHL’s Next Generation series on Friday. Among the players highlighted is 2000-born forward Sullivan Mack.
Mack, who’s from Anchorage, Alaska, had 79 goals and 49 assists in 107 games over the last three US prep school seasons at Kimball Union Academy. He’s committed to Cornell University for September 2021.
He also played one game as an affiliate player with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League but didn’t have any points.

The National Hockey League announced on Friday that the 2020 NHL Entry Draft is rescheduled for October 9 and 10 and will be conducted online.
There are four BCHL players among the NHL Central Scouting final rankings who could hear their names called. Among them are Chilliwack Chiefs centre Ethan Bowen, Penticton Vees centre Danny Weight, Nanaimo Clippers left winger Kyler Kovich, and Vernon Vipers defenseman Trey Taylor.

Forward Brayden Low (nine goals, 17 assists in 61 games with Merritt and Powell River from 2011-13) has signed a contract extension with the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
The 26-year-old is going into his fourth ECHL season after posting 18 goals and 20 assists in 60 games with the Royals last season.

Forward Craig Puffer (29 goals, 29 assists in 58 games with Chilliwack in 2014-15) has signed with the Esbjerg Energy of the Metal Ligaen, which is the top tier of hockey in Denmark.
Puffer, 25, is from Greenwich, Connecticut, and had nine goals and 21 assists in 29 games with Manglerud in Norway during the 2019-20 season.
