The Penticton Vees and Cowichan Valley Capitals connected on a big trade on Tuesday. The deal sees Pentiction acquire 2001-born forward Luc Wilson from the Caps in exchange for 2000-born forward Jack Barnes and future considerations.
Wilson, who’s committed to Minnesota State University Mankato for September 2021, had 19 goals and 34 assists in 55 games with his hometown Capitals this past season. He also added a goal and six assists in five playoff games.
Barnes, the son of former NHLer Stu Barnes, is a three year BCHL veteran who has posted 21 goals and 21 assists in 156 games with Penticton.
Cents grab veteran blueliner Valente from Alberni Valley

The Merritt Centennials added a veteran piece to their blueline on Tuesday with the acquisition of 2000-born Grayson Valente from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs for 2001-born forward Josh Van Unen and future considerations.
Valente, a Vancouver product, spent the last three seasons with the Bulldogs and put up 10 goals and 29 assists in 138 career games.
Van Unen is coming off his first BCHL season. The Kamloops resident had a goal and a dozen assists in 40 games as a rookie with the Cents in 2019-20.
Spruce Kings pick up scoring forward Loon-Stewardson
Prince George acquires 2000-born forward Quintin Loon-Stewardson from Battlefords (SJHL) for future considerations.
Loon-Stewardson, from Sioux Lookout, ON, had 30-25-55 and 168 PIM in 53 games with the North Stars in 2019-20.#BCHL

In a trade that’s only announced on the BCHL’s transactions page, the Prince George Spruce Kings added 2000-born forward Quintin Loon-Stewardson from the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
Loon-Stewardson is from Sioux Lookout, Ontario, and a proven scorer in the SJHL after posting 30 goals and 25 assists in 53 games with Battlefords in 2019-20.
He’s entering his fourth season of junior A hockey after playing the last two with the North Stars and 2017-18 with the Powassan VooDoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Silverbacks trade for goalie Kohonick

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks solidified their goaltending further on Tuesday by acquiring 2000-born Riley Kohonick from the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL for future considerations.
Kohonick, who’s from White City, Saskatchewan, has played the last two seasons with the Hounds. He had a 14-21-3 record with a 2.95 goals-against-average, a .920 save percentage and three shutouts in 38 games this past season.
Bulldogs trade for Anderson from the Grizzlies
Alberni Valley acquires 2001-born forward Bryce Anderson from Victoria for future considerations.
Anderson, from Whitehorse, YT, has 12-26-38 in 106 games with the Grizzlies and Trail over the last two seasons. #BCHL

In addition to getting Josh Van Unen from Merritt on Tuesday, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs also acquired 2001-born forward Bryce Anderson of Whitehorse, Yukon, from the Victoria Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations.
Anderson, who was traded to the Grizzlies last summer, had six goals and 18 assists in 51 games with Victoria this past season.

Forward Daine Dubois (seven goals, five assists in 44 games with Trail and Salmon Arm from 2017-18) is one of the first players to commit to the new NCAA program at Long Island University.
Dubois had 28 goals and 37 assists in 58 games with the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
