The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired 2000-born defenseman Trevor Longo from the Victoria Grizzlies for future considerations.
Longo cleared Western Hockey League waivers on Friday. The North Vancouverite played parts of three seasons in the WHL, finishing with 33 points in 135 games split between Medicine Hat and Vancouver from 2017-20.
Victoria acquired Longo’s junior A rights from Drumheller of the Alberta Junior Hockey League last June, but he didn’t play a game for the Grizzlies during the training season last fall.
Longo has been in the BCHL before though, playing 17 games for Salmon Arm in 2017-18 and posting three assists.
Earlier this month, he committed to play U SPORTS at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario this fall.
