Coquitlam Express defenceman Drew Cooper has committed to Ferris State University and will attend the Big Rapids, MI campus starting in Sept. 2021. Cooper has 20 points (7 goals, 13 assists) in 34 games for the league-leading Express this season.

The Surrey Eagles took part in a program offered by a group called Odd Squad, which is a non-profit association composed of current and former police officers. They take groups of youth, like junior hockey teams, to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for them to see first-hand the dangers of gangs and addiction.

15-year-old forward Carter Streek made his BCHL debut on Friday night with the Vernon Vipers. Streek has been signed by the Snakes as an affiliate. He has 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists) in 16 games with the Yale Hockey Academy Midget Prep Lions this season.

Four year junior B veteran Noah Brusse has been added to the Vernon Vipers as an affiliate player. He made his BCHL debut on Friday against Penticton. The 19-year-old has 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists) in 27 games with the KIJHL’s Princeton Posse this season.

Chilliwack Chiefs affiliate forward Adam Grenier played his first BCHL game on Friday. The 16-year-old has 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 19 games with the Burnaby Winter Club Midget Prep team this season.

Grenier’s BWC Academy teammate Ty Gagno also played with the Chiefs on Friday in Langley. The 16-year-old has 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in 18 CSSHL games with the Burnaby Winter Club this season.

The Chiefs also brought back forward Dawson Good from the BCMML’s Fraser Valley Thunderbirds as an affiliate player. Good has one goal in three games with Chilliwack this season. The 17-year-old has 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 22 games with the T-Birds as well.

Defenceman Colten Gerlib (5 goals, 13 assists in 70 games with Surrey and Merritt from 2016-19) has joined the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Gerlib, 20, started the season playing college hockey in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League with Simon Fraser University. He had one assist in nine games with SFU.
