Clippers acquire Brown commit Mistry from Toronto of the OJHL

The Nanaimo Clippers have acquired 2003-born defenseman Ethan Mistry from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens of the Ontario Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

Mistry hails from Toronto, ON, and didn’t get into any games with the Jr. Canadiens in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is committed to Brown University for 2022-23.

In 27 US prep school games with Milton Academy in 2019-20, Mistry put up eight goals and 28 points. He added eight goals and 19 points in 32 games with the Neponset Valley River Rats 16U AAA team.

He was selected by the Jersey Hitmen in the 2020 National Collegiate Development Conference Entry Draft. The Niagara IceDogs also chose Mistry in the 10th round of the 2019 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.
