Trail Smoke Eaters forward Carson Briere will attend Mercyhurst University this fall. Briere had three goals and nine assists in 24 games in Trail this past season.
Briere has joined the Smokies from Arizona State in early December after not playing a game for the Sun Devils. He is the 12th member of the Smoke Eaters roster to commit to an NCAA school.

Langley Rivermen goaltender Jonathan Mor has committed to Michigan State University. Mor was signed by the Riv at the January 10th roster deadline and appeared in 10 games for Langley.
The 19-year-old went 3-6-0 for the Rivermen with a 3.56 goals-against-average and an .889 save percentage. He is the seventh member of Langley’s roster to commit to college hockey.

Langley Rivermen goaltender Braedon Fleming will attend SAIT in Calgary and play for the Trojans next season. The 20-year-old spent three and a half seasons with the Rivermen, compiling a 67-65-2 record to go along with a 2.90 GAA and an .899 SV%.
His win total of 67 is seventh-best in BCHL history, while his nine career shutouts are tied for fourth-best all-time.
Former Powell River forward Niddery signs extension in Hannover

Forward Chad Niddery (70 goals, 150 assists in 212 games with Powell River from 2007-11) has signed a one-year contract extension for 2020-21 with Hannover of the Oberliga, which is the third tier of hockey in Germany.
Niddery has played for Hannover for the last four seasons. He had 13 goals and 33 assists in 42 games with the Indians this past season.

Second Star: Salmon Arm forward Bryce Gervais scored a pair of goals in a 3-2 loss to Vernon.
Third Star: Kings netminder Michael Garteig kicked out 63 shots in the win against the Eagles.
