Chilliwack Chiefs 2002-born forward Ray Fust had an assist and was named player of the game for Switzerland in a 4-1 loss to Finland on Sunday at the 2021 World Junior Hockey Championship.
2002-born Penticton Vees forward Stefano Bottini was in the Swiss penalty box for goaltender interference when the Finns capitalized on the power play to make it 3-1 in the third period.
Switzerland’s next game is against Canada on Tuesday at 3 pm Pacific Time.
Canada improves to 2-0 with a win over Slovakia

Forward Alex Newhook (60 goals, 108 assists in 98 games with Victoria from 2017-19) finished with a pair of shots in Canada’s 3-1 preliminary round win over Slovakia on Sunday at the World Juniors.
The 19-year-old sophomore at Boston College has three points and five shots on goal through two games at the tournament.
Conway signs ECHL deal in Orlando

Forward Scott Conway (56 goals, 60 assists in 56 games with Penticton in 2015-16) signed with the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears for the 2020-21 season.
The 25-year-old, who’s from Basingstoke, Great Britain, had 33 points in 39 games with Atlanta of the ECHL in 2019-20. Conway added five points in 13 games with Providence of the American Hockey League.
Zerter-Gossage takes his game to Germany
Forward Lewis Zerter-Gossage (18 goals, 28 assists in 57 games with Penticton in 2014-15) signed a contract for 2020-21 with Blue Devils Weiden of the Oberliga, which is the third tier of pro hockey in Germany.
The Montreal, Quebec product spent most of 2019-20 with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, scoring three points in 25 games. Zerter-Gossage, 25, also notched 10 points in 21 ECHL games split between Maine and Reading.
