Warriors name Gorges Director of Player Development

The West Kelowna Warriors have named Josh Gorges their Director of Player Development. Gorges will work with players both on and off the ice, at practices and games this season. The 36-year-old Kelowna native brings 14 years of professional playing experience to the Warriors.
13 of his professional seasons were spent in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks, Montreal Canadiens, and Buffalo Sabres. He played 783 NHL games, in which he scored 17 goals and added 107 assists.
Gorges also played his junior hockey in Kelowna, with the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets. In 245 games with the Rockets, he scored 33 goals and added 119 assists.
Warriors add forward Deveaux from Harvard

West Kelowna has also added 2000-born forward Wyllum Deveaux to their roster for 2020-21.
Deveaux spent the past two seasons at Harvard University, but joins West Kelowna due to the cancelation of the NCAA Ivy League season.
The 20-year-old from Sackville, Nova Scotia scored three goals and added one assist in 40 games over his two seasons at Harvard.
Centennials add forward Davidson

The Merritt Centennials have added 2003-born forward Joe Davidson to their roster for the upcoming season.
The Nelson, BC product spent last season with his hometown Nelson Leafs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
Davidson tallied 22 goals and 16 assists in 44 games in the KIJHL last season.
Gellert reportedly signs extension with Asiago

Alex Gellert (33 goals, 38 assists in 117 games with West Kelowna and Cowichan Valley from 2006-2009) will re-sign with Asiago, according to the above tweet by Marco Pedrotti.
The 30-year-old from Milano, Italy has spent the last three seasons playing in the Alps Hockey League with Asiago. He has scored 33 goals and added 76 assists in 109 games played over those three campaigns.
