Centennials hire Chyzowski as general manager and head coach

The Merritt Centennials hired Dave Chyzowski as its new general manager and head coach, signing the Edmonton, AB product on Friday to a two-year contract through the 2022-23 season plus an option for 2023-24.
The 49-year-old Chyzowski joins the Cents after spending the 2019-20 season as an assistant coach for the Western Hockey League’s Vancouver Giants.
He also spent that season as head coach of the Delta Hockey Academy female prep team in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League. Chyzowski was also DHA’s director of sales.

Kim commits to the Rivermen for 2021-22

The Langley Rivermen have added 2004-born forward Owen Kim of North Vancouver, BC for the 2021-22 season.
Kim comes from the Vancouver North West Hawks of the BC U18 AAA League and had eight points in six games before COVID-19 paused the exhibition season.
He originally committed to the Coquitlam Express in February.

The Wenatchee Wild has signed general manager Bliss Littler to a 10-year contract extension that starts with the 2021-22 season and concludes at the end of the 2030-31 BC Hockey League season.
Littler has been Wild GM since it joined the BCHL as an expansion team in 2015. He served as head coach of the Wild until stepping down for health reasons in December 2019.
He finished his coaching career in the BCHL with a 164-75-20-5 record and was named the recipient of the Joe Tennant Memorial Trophy as coach of the year in 2017 and 2018.

The Cranbrook Bucks have traded 2002-born forward Sheldon Pryce to the Brockville Braves of the Central Canada Hockey League.
The trade completes the future considerations from a Feb. 11 deal that saw the Bucks pick up 2002-born forward Joshua Barnes from the Braves.
Pryce, who’s from Seaforth, ON, didn’t have any points in seven games with Cranbrook during the pod season.

Silverbacks ink assistant coach and director of scouting Cochrane
The Salmon Arm Silverbacks announced the signing of assistant coach and director of scouting Carter Cochrane to a two-year contract extension.
The 24-year-old from Kamloops, BC joined the Silverbacks’ staff prior to the 2019-20 season.
“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to build upon what we have been doing and continue to take steps forward. Working with (head coach) Tyler (Shattock) has been a great fit and I’m excited about what we can do in the future,” Cochrane said in a news release.
Hahn signs with Rostock Piranhas
Forward Dante Hahn (32 goals, 60 assists in 200 games with Victoria, West Kelowna, Langley, and Coquitlam from 2012-16) signed with Rostocker EC of Germany’s Oberliga for the 2021-22 season.
In 2020-21, the 26-year-old Hahn had six goals and 12 points in 16 games with Pyry in Suomi-sarja, which is the third tier of pro hockey in Finland.
