Pfeil commits to McGill

Cowichan Valley Capitals goaltender Lucas Pfeil has committed to McGill University starting this September.
Pfeil, who’s from Owen Sound, ON, was 6-7-2 with a 3.71 goals-against-average and a .909 save percentage with the Capitals during the 2020-21 BC Hockey League pod season.
The 2000-born netminder spent the previous two seasons with Kitchener of the Ontario Hockey League, where he posted a 13-17-3 record to go along with a 4.00 goals-against-average, two shutouts, and an .871 save percentage.
Bucks recruit NHL draft prospect King for 2021-22

The Cranbrook Bucks announced the commitment of 2003-born forward Andrew King for the 2021-22 season.
He had four goals and 20 points in 18 games with the NV River Rats 18U AAA during the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season. King also played one game with the Islanders Hockey Club in the National Collegiate Development Conference and scored one goal.
The product of Dubuque, IA is ranked 216th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting for the 2021 NHL Draft later this month.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have acquired 2003-born forward Isaac Lambert from the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canada Hockey League for future considerations.
Lambert, who’s committed to the University of Maine, signed with the Jr. Sens last August but didn’t play any games with them because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Victoriaville, QC product played with the Trois-Rivières Estacades of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League in 2019-20 and posted 15 goals and 36 points in 42 games.

The Surrey Eagles announced the addition of 2003-born forward Jake Bongo for the 2021-22 BCHL season on Monday.
The product of Ridgefield, CT had 10 goals and 26 points in 28 games with the New Jersey Rockets in the NCDC in 2020-21. He also played six games with the Mid Fairfield Rangers 18U AAA and posted four points.
Bongo is committed to Sacred Heart University for Sept. 2022. He was chosen in the 1st round, 11th overall, by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the 2019 QMJHL American Draft.
He also went in the 6th round, 86th overall, to the Tri-City Storm in the 2019 US Hockey League Futures Draft.
Carr jumps to Lugano for 2021-22 season

Forward Daniel Carr (10 goals, 17 assists in 22 games with Powell River in 2009-10) signed with HC Lugano in Switzerland’s National League for the 2021-22 season on Monday.
The 29-year-old from Sherwood Park, AB had one assist in six games with the Washington Capitals this past season as he shuttled between the NHL team and its taxi squad.
Carr was loaned to Lugano to start the 2020-21 season and posted eight points in eight games.
Chiefs hire Webster as sales and guest experience coordinator

The Chilliwack Chiefs bolstered their front office on Monday with the addition of Brett Webster in the role of sales and guest experience coordinator.
According to a news release announcing Webster’s hiring, he will “focus on business opportunities with both existing and prospective corporate partners in the community.”
Webster, a former regional operations manager in the restaurant industry, will also coordinate in-game fan experiences at the Chiefs games.
