Smoke Eaters bring in Marshall as a new recruit
After a season split between Team Twin Cities Orthopedics and Benilde-St. Margaret’s School, 2003-born Adam Marshall will join the Trail Smoke Eaters for 2022-23.
The product of Wayzata, MN had 18 goals and 33 points in 20 Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League games with Team Twin Cities Orthopedics in 2021-22.
Additionally, he added 23 goals and 47 points in 28 Minnesota high school games at Benilde-St. Margaret’s School in St. Louis Park, MN.
BCHL announces 2022 Showcase event details
The BC Hockey League announced on Wednesday the details of its 2022 Showcase event, where all 18 teams will each play a pair of games.
The Showcase will take place at the Chilliwack Coliseum, home of the Coastal Conference’s Chiefs from Oct. 17 – 20.
Silverbacks promote Mackie to sales manager
The Salmon Arm Silverbacks announced on Wednesday that Amber Mackie has been promoted from ticket sales to sales manager heading into the 2022-23 season.
In addition to ticket sales last season, Mackie also helped the Silverbacks out with merchandise sales during her first season with the club.
Manning is back with Straubing of the DEL
32-year-old defender Brandon Manning (seven goals, 19 assists in 58 games with Prince George in 2007-08) has signed with the Deutsche Eishockey Liga’s Straubing Tigers for a second straight season.
Manning, who is from Prince George, BC, scored one goal and added 21 assists in 38 regular-season games with the Tigers in 2021-22. He also added an assist in four playoff games.
