The Cowichan Valley Capitals have acquired 2002-born defenseman Kian Calder from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
Calder, who’s from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, is in his first season of junior hockey. He had four goals and an assist in eight games with the Terriers before COVID-19 shutdown the MJHL season.
As captain of the Central Plains Capitals U18 AAA in 2019-20, he put up 19 goals and 40 assists in 43 games to finish second in defenseman scoring in the Manitoba U18 Hockey League.
Bulldogs send Bosse to Whitecourt of the AJHL
Alberni Valley trades 2001-born forward Jacob Bosse to Whitecourt (AJHL) for future considerations.
Bosse had 33 points in 47 games as a rookie with the Bulldogs in 2019-20.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have traded 2001-born forward Jacob Bossé to the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
The Longueuil, Quebec product had three goals and four assists in seven games for the Bulldogs during the BC Hockey League’s training season last fall.
He put up 16 goals and 17 assists in 47 games as a freshman in Alberni Valley during the 2019-20 season.
Kings send Pfoh to Carleton Place to complete earlier deal
Powell River trades 2002-born forward Brett Pfoh to Carleton Place (CCHL) to complete a deal from Jan. 12.
Pfoh is committed to Bowling Green for this fall.

The Powell River Kings have traded 2002-born forward Brett Pfoh to the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League to complete a trade from last month.
That deal on Jan. 12 saw the Kings pick up 2002-born defenseman Ben Brunette from the Canadians for future considerations.
Pfoh, a Port Moody, BC product, split 44 games between the Kings and Prince George in 2019-20, scoring nine points along the way.
Both Pfoh and Brunette are committed to NCAA schools for this fall, with the former off to Bowling Green State University and the latter heading to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals continued to beef up their blueline on Tuesday with the addition of 2001-born defenseman Logan Rands from the Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL for future considerations.
Rands is a three-year junior A veteran with Virden, scoring five goals and 46 assists in 114 games. He’s also added one assist in six MJHL playoff games.
The Portage la Prairie, Manitoba native started this season with a goal and seven assists in eight games for the Oil Caps.

Defenseman Danny Dekeyser (eight goals, 17 assists in 58 games with Trail in 2008-09) has been recalled by the Detroit Red Wings from their taxi squad.
The 30-year-old from Detroit has one goal in 11 games with the Red Wings this season, his eighth in the NHL.

Goaltender Hunter Miska (53-21-5 with a 2.03 GAA, a .924 SV%, and seven shutouts in 80 games with Penticton from 2013-15) was recalled from the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League to the Colorado Avalanche’s taxi squad on Monday.
The 25-year-old from Stacy, Minnesota is 0-1-1 with a 3.55 goals-against-average and a .881 save percentage in two games with the Avs this season.
