Defenceman Robby Drazner is the 10th Nanaimo Clippers player to commit to a post-secondary school after announcing he would attend Miami University in the fall of 2021. The 19-year-old has four goals and 21 assists in 46 games with the Clippers this season.

Penticton Vees forward Lukas Sillinger, who committed to the University of Nebraska Omaha in October 2018, has de-committed from the school and will instead attend Bemidji State University this fall. Sillinger, 19, has 16 goals and 33 assists in 47 games with the Vees this season, his third in the BCHL.

He’s played seven games as an affiliate for the Prince George Spruce Kings, but John Herrington will be a full time player with the team in 2020-21. The Spruce Kings announced Herrington’s commitment for next season on Thursday. The 17-year-old has 11 goals and 11 assists in 27 games with the Cariboo Cougars of the BC Major Midget League this season.

The Chilliwack Chiefs announced Thursday that they have received a commitment for 2020-21 from forward Dawson Good. Good, who turns 18 in April, has two goals in five games with the Chiefs as an affiliate and 13 goals and 26 assists in 28 games for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BC Major Midget League this season.

With the NHL in its All-Star break, defenceman Dennis Cholowski (16 goals, 51 assists in 106 games with Chilliwack from 2014-16) has been reassigned by the Detroit Red Wings to the Grand Rapid Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Cholowski has two goals and six assists in 30 games with the Red Wings this season and two goals and three assists in 17 AHL games with Grand Rapids.

Forward Lewis Zerter-Gossage (18 goals, 28 assists in 57 games with Penticton in 2014-15) has been loaned by the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack to the Maine Mariners of the ECHL. In 23 games with the Wolf Pack this season, Zerter-Gossage has two goals and one assist. He’s added three assists in six ECHL games with the Mariners.
Former Rivermen forward Ustaski traded in the ECHL from Idaho to Rapid City

Matt Ustaski (40 goals, 36 assists in 109 games with Langley from 2012-14) was traded in the ECHL earlier this week from the Idaho Steelheads to the Rapid City Rush for cash.
Ustaski, who was drafted in the 7th round, 192nd overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2014 NHL Draft, has a goal and three assists in seven games with Idaho this season. He also had one assist in three ECHL games with the Norfolk Admirals earlier this season.
Ustaski has also played 19 games with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League, posting six goals and four assists.
Former Surrey forward McGowan signs extension in Gherdëina
Forward Brad McGowan (48 goals, 87 assists in 117 games with Surrey from 2009-11) signed a contract extension for 2020-21 with Gherdëina of the Alps Hockey League, which is based in Central Europe. McGowan has 27 goals and 33 assists in 32 games with Gherdëina this season.
